"Beyond What I can See" is an acoustic collection of original songs by Sharon Dennis and collaborator, Doris Au MacDonald. From the serious reflection of September 11 ("Time Has Turned the Page") to the haunting question posed in "Deity," to the uplifting cotton candy mountains ("Rainbowland") and humorous need for coffee ("Latte Blues"), you will get a laugh, and perhaps an emotional nudging from this debut project.
"Dream and Dare" goes beyond where The Braeded Chord's first project left off-- once again drawing upon various musical styles and taking the listener deeper into the raw emotion of life after 9/11. It includes the hauntingly beautiful "I Will Wait," an honor award winner in the 2005 Great American Songwriting Contest. "Dream and Dare," at times intimate and bittersweet, other times hopeful with lush orchestrations, and even sassy at times, should satisfy fans of multiple genres.
